Lone Star

Am gestrigen Samstag habe ich an einem Lone-Star-Kurs teilgenommen.Es war wieder sehr lustig und ich habe auch eine Menge gelernt. Mein Lone Star Wandbehang ist zur Haelfte fertig geworden * smile*, denn ich habe keine Y-Naht naehen muessen.
Wie das geht? Nun, wartet ab. Auch ein Bild von meinem Lonestar wird noch folgen

Yesterday I took a class for a Lone Star. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. My Lone-Star-Wallhanger is half finished, because I don't need to sew Y-seems. How that works? Oh wait... *smile*

My favorit fabricstore is closing. I just recived this mail............

Hi Everyone,

The Quilter's Palette is going out of business. That's right - done, caput, finito, that's all she wrote, I hear the fat lady singing! I'm a little tired and cranky and bored and squirrelly and it's time to be done. The shop will be closed by August 31, 2010.

Anyway - We are having SALE starting June 22.

20% off the entire store except for Wool, Block of the Month and consignment. The shelves and fixtures and thread racks and book racks are for sale also. The antiques are mine - sorry! Some of the samples will also be for sale.

I'm keeping the wool and related kits and patterns. I plan on doing the local Guild Quilt shows and maybe teaching some classes so you are not rid of me yet. Sorry!

In 2 Wochen, nehme ich an einem Kurs von Teresa teil, der mir beibringen soll, wie frau einen Lone Star ohne Y-Naehte naeht. Hier meine Stoffauswahl, vor der Colour-Class

In 2 weeks I'll take a class with Teresa. She will teach us, how to make a Lone Star without the Y-seem sewing. Here the fabric I choose bofore the colour-class

Mysterie von Vreni / Mysterie from Vreni

Ich habe heimlich an dem Mysterie mitgenaeht und gestern mal meine Bloecke ausgelegt. Ich werde einen Tischlauefer daraus naehen, da ich leider 2 Bloecke irgendwie verschnitten habe. Das kommt davon, wenn frau lieber Teile einer Jelly-Roll nimmt, anstatt selber Streifen zu schneiden *smile*
I was a hidden sewer at this Mystrie. Yesterday I try to find a layout for my blocks. I need to make a tablerunner out of it, because I did a mistake by taking parts of a Jelly Roll *smile*

Meine 3 wilden..../ My 3 out the wilderness

.....werden langsam handzahm. Am Besten macht sich die kleine Calico. Ich kann sie sogar schon hochnehmen und ein wenig herumtrage. Wenn ich den Raum betrete, muss ich mittlerweile aufpassen, das diese kleine bunte mir nicht in den REstkeller entwischt. Die grosse rote ist leider noch immer superscheu, hoffe, das ich das noch hinbekomme, dennlangsam wird es Zeit, das ich sie vermittle.
...........are doing so good. The calico is already so sweet, that she allow me to pick her up and carry her around in the room. and I need to be careful, when I enter the romm, so that she isn't able to escape in the rest of the basement. The big red is still real shy and I hope that I'm able to pt her out for adoption. The 2 red need so find a home soon

American Pride...

...habe ich mein Quilt-Top getauft. Nun ueberlege ich , ob ich die Rueckseite Schwarz-Rot-Gold gestalte und welches Quiltmuster .........Immer diese Entscheidungen ;-)

..is the name of my Quilt-Top. Now I think about to do the back in Black-Red-Gold like the GermanFlag. And how shall I quilt it...........so hard decision
